Substance: Liothyronine (T3)
Package: 100mcg (50 pills)
What is T3-Max-100 by Maxtreme?
Most liothyronine tablets contain 25 mcg. T3-Max-100 by Maxtreme contains four times as much: 100 mcg of liothyronine (T3) in every pill, with 50 pills in the pack. That makes it one of the most concentrated forms of this hormone available, and it changes how the product has to be handled.
Liothyronine is a man-made copy of triiodothyronine, the active thyroid hormone. It acts on almost every cell in the body, raising oxygen use, heat production and the rate at which fats, carbohydrates and proteins are processed. Compared with thyroxine (T4), it works faster and is roughly three to four times more potent per microgram, so small changes in dose have a clear effect.
Why such a high strength?
A 100 mcg tablet is mainly a matter of convenience for experienced users who cut it into halves or quarters. One pill split in four gives 25 mcg portions, the usual starting step, so a pack of 50 pills yields 200 quarter-doses. Users take T3 during contest preparation or a strict cut to:
- counter the slowdown of metabolism that comes with long dieting;
- increase daily energy expenditure and fat oxidation;
- make other fat-loss tools, such as cardio and a calorie deficit, work better.
The same speed-up applies to muscle protein, so high T3 levels without anabolic support and adequate protein intake can cost muscle. A whole 100 mcg tablet taken daily is above the usual medical maintenance range and above what most bodybuilding regimens use.
How is T3-Max-100 taken?
The tablet is not taken whole at the start. Commonly reported regimens begin with a quarter (25 mcg) per day and build up over one to two weeks to 50 to 75 mcg, so between half and three quarters of a tablet. Courses typically last six to eight weeks and end with a step-down over one to two weeks. A pill cutter helps keep the portions even; uneven pieces mean uneven dosing. Medical treatment of hypothyroidism rarely exceeds 75 mcg a day.
Because of its strength, this product leaves little room for error. Dose and duration must be agreed with a qualified medical professional, with thyroid tests and a check of heart function.
Possible side effects
Too much T3 causes artificial hyperthyroidism. Typical signs are a resting pulse that stays high, palpitations, profuse sweating, feeling hot all the time, shaky hands, anxiety, insomnia and loose stools. Muscle weakness and rapid weight loss, including lean tissue, follow if the dose stays too high. Irregular heart rhythm, chest pain and bone loss are the serious risks. During use the thyroid's own production is suppressed.
Combining T3 with clenbuterol or other stimulants multiplies the load on the heart. Anyone with heart disease, high blood pressure, adrenal insufficiency or a thyroid disorder that has not been assessed by a doctor should not use it.
