What is Eutropin LG 4IU by LG Since?
Eutropin LG 4IU is recombinant human growth hormone (somatropin) from South Korea. The Eutropin brand was developed by the life sciences business of the LG group, listed in our catalog as LG Since. Its molecule has the same 191 amino acids as the growth hormone produced by the human pituitary gland, and it is made by genetically modified cells rather than extracted from tissue.
The product comes as one vial containing 4 IU of freeze-dried somatropin, which is about 1.3 mg (one milligram of somatropin equals roughly 3 IU). This small size suits a test of individual tolerance or short-term use, since a single vial covers only one or two days at the amounts athletes usually take.
What does Eutropin do?
Doctors prescribe growth hormone to children who do not grow normally because of a hormone deficiency, to adults with proven GH deficiency, and in a few other conditions such as Turner syndrome or chronic kidney disease. Most of its effects run through IGF-1, a growth factor that the liver releases in response to GH. Athletes are interested in the following actions:
- stored body fat is used more readily for energy, especially around the waist;
- muscle protein is spared and recovery after hard training improves;
- tendons, ligaments and joints get support from increased collagen synthesis;
- skin quality and sleep often feel better after several weeks.
Growth hormone is not a fast-acting drug. Changes build up slowly, and on its own its effect on muscle size is modest compared with anabolic steroids.
How is Eutropin LG 4IU taken?
The powder is dissolved in sterile or bacteriostatic water, and the solution is injected subcutaneously, usually into the abdomen. Mixed somatropin is fragile: it should not be shaken and must be stored in the refrigerator.
In bodybuilding, daily amounts of 2 to 4 IU are the most commonly reported, with some experienced users going higher. Because results take time, courses typically last at least three months and often longer. Medical replacement doses for adults are smaller and are adjusted to blood IGF-1 levels. These are common figures, not a recommendation: the dose and the length of the course need to be agreed with a qualified medical professional.
Side effects and contraindications
Growth hormone has a recognizable set of side effects, and most of them depend on dose. Water retention with swollen hands and feet, joint pain, numbness or tingling in the fingers (carpal tunnel syndrome) and headaches are common at higher amounts. GH also reduces insulin sensitivity and can raise blood sugar, and it may lower thyroid hormone levels. Long-term misuse is linked to the enlargement of bones and internal organs seen in acromegaly.
Somatropin must not be used by people with active cancer, because it can stimulate tumor growth, nor during acute critical illness or with proliferative diabetic retinopathy.
