What is Tren Tabs by Alpha Pharma?

Tren Tabs is an oral product from Alpha Pharma based on methyltrienolone, also called metribolone or methyl trenbolone. Each tablet contains 1 mg, a strength that looks tiny next to other oral steroids but reflects how potent this compound is. Methyltrienolone is trenbolone with a 17-alpha methyl group added, which makes it orally active and dramatically increases both its strength and its toxicity.

The substance has an unusual history. It was never approved as a medicine. Early clinical trials, including attempts to use it against advanced breast cancer, were abandoned because signs of liver damage appeared even at very low doses. Since then it has been used mainly in laboratories, where a labelled form serves as a reference ligand for studying androgen receptors, precisely because it binds them so strongly.

Effects and why it is used

Methyltrienolone is among the most powerful androgen receptor agonists known, and it also binds to progesterone receptors. Because of its potency, reported amounts are measured in fractions of a milligram up to about one tablet a day, and courses are kept very short, usually only a couple of weeks. It is commonly taken alongside an injectable testosterone base, as it shuts down the body's own production almost immediately. These descriptions come from informal practice, not from clinical dosing, which does not exist for this substance. Any decision about dose and duration must be agreed with a qualified medical professional, with liver tests before and during use.

Side effects and risks

The risks are serious and should be taken at face value:
