What is Testobase by Alpha Pharma?

Testobase is the testosterone suspension from Alpha Pharma, sold in packs of 10 ampoules at a concentration of 100 mg/ml. The word "base" in the name points to what makes it different: the testosterone is not attached to any ester. Every milligram on the label is the hormone itself, held as microcrystals in a water-based liquid.

Esters exist to slow a steroid's release from the injection site. Remove the ester and the result is the fastest-acting testosterone available by injection, active soon after the shot and cleared from the body quickly. At 100 mg/ml, Testobase is also one of the more concentrated suspensions, so less liquid is needed per dose.

Effects and typical goals

Testosterone suspension is an anabolic-androgenic steroid with strong effects on muscle, strength and energy. Bodybuilders and strength athletes use Testobase mainly to:

• add size and strength over a short course;
• train with more intensity and drive, especially when injected before a session;
• kick-start the first weeks of a cycle;
• keep testosterone levels high while finishing a cycle, before recovery therapy.

With such a short action, Testobase is injected daily, and some users split the dose into two smaller injections. Figures most often reported are 50 to 100 mg a day over four to six weeks. Combining it with oral steroids or with longer esters is common in more advanced cycles. Before every draw, the ampoule should be shaken until the suspension is uniform, and a needle wide enough for the crystals should be used.
