What is Testoscot by Scott-Edil Pharmacia Ltd?

Testoscot is a testosterone propionate injection manufactured by Scott-Edil Pharmacia Ltd. A box holds 10 ampoules, and the oily solution in each one has a strength of 100 mg/ml. Testosterone propionate is the shortest of the commonly used testosterone esters, which places Testoscot among the fast-acting injectable anabolic steroids.

Compared with enanthate or cypionate, the propionate ester is lighter, so a milligram of testosterone propionate actually carries a little more free testosterone. It also means a shorter active life: where long esters are injected once or twice a week, propionate needs a much tighter schedule.

Effects on the body

Testosterone is both anabolic and androgenic. On the anabolic side it increases protein synthesis and nitrogen retention and stimulates red blood cell production. Daily injections of smaller amounts are an option for people who want the most stable levels. Rotating injection sites and warming the ampoule in the hand before drawing can make the oil easier to inject.

Side effects to know about

Side effects mirror those of other testosterone products. Expect possible water retention, gynecomastia and raised blood pressure from estrogen conversion, and acne, oily skin or hair thinning from androgenic activity. Testoscot suppresses the body's own testosterone production, which can affect fertility and mood after the cycle ends. Cholesterol balance and red cell counts can shift unfavorably. Short-ester propionate is also notorious for post-injection soreness.

Avoid it if you are a woman, under 18, have prostate or breast cancer, or have serious heart, kidney or liver disease.
