What is Parabolin by Alpha Pharma?

Parabolin is the trenbolone hexahydrobenzylcarbonate from Alpha Pharma, the ester of trenbolone with the closest link to medicine. A preparation of this compound sold in France under the name Parabolan was the only trenbolone product ever approved for human use, until its withdrawal in the late 1990s. The Alpha Pharma version comes as 5 ampoules of 1.5 ml, each containing 75 mg of the steroid, which works out to 50 mg per ml.

Hexahydrobenzylcarbonate releases trenbolone much more slowly than acetate, so injections can be spaced every few days. Like other trenbolone forms, it is a non-aromatizing 19-nor anabolic-androgenic steroid.

Effects of trenbolone hexahydrobenzylcarbonate

Once released from the ester, the hormone acts exactly like other forms of trenbolone. Athletes use Parabolin to:

• build lean, dry muscle mass;
• increase strength and power;
• preserve muscle and lose fat while dieting;
• achieve a hard, vascular look for competitions.

These results rest on strong androgen receptor binding, better protein retention in muscle and reduced breakdown of muscle tissue. The main appeal over acetate is convenience: stable levels without injecting every other day.

How Parabolin is used

Commonly reported use is two to three 75 mg ampoules a week, roughly 150–225 mg, over courses of eight to ten weeks; one pack of five ampoules covers about two weeks at that pace. Because the solution is only 50 mg/ml, each injection is 1.5 ml, a larger volume than with concentrated products, so a large muscle such as the glute is usually chosen. Testosterone is normally used alongside, and post-cycle therapy starts once the ester has cleared, which takes longer than with acetate.

Possible side effects

Parabolin carries the same risks as other trenbolone esters, and because its ester lasts longer than acetate, they may persist for a while after stopping:

• insomnia, night sweats and mood changes such as irritability or anxiety;
• reduced stamina and occasional coughing after injection;
• increased blood pressure and lower HDL cholesterol;
• acne, oily skin and hair loss;
• gynecomastia or reduced libido associated with progestogenic activity;
• suppression of natural testosterone.

Parabolin should not be used by women, minors, beginners or people with heart, kidney or psychiatric conditions.
