Clomid 100mg is the high-strength version of clomiphene citrate made by Cipla. Each pill contains 100 mg of the active substance, twice the amount of the standard tablet, and the pack holds 10 pills. Clomiphene citrate is a nonsteroidal selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) from the triphenylethylene family. It attaches to estrogen receptors and, depending on the tissue, either blocks them or weakly stimulates them. The effect that matters most is in the hypothalamus, where clomiphene hides circulating estrogen from the brain. The brain reads that as an estrogen shortage and raises its output of the hormones that drive the gonads.
