What is Zudena 100 by Indian Brand?

Udenafil was developed in South Korea and launched there in 2005 under the brand name Zydena. How is it taken?

In countries where udenafil is prescribed, the on-demand dose for erectile dysfunction is 100 mg, with 200 mg used in men who need more. A tablet is taken about 30 minutes to one hour before sexual activity, and no more than one dose a day. Lower daily doses have been studied for continuous use, but that is a different regimen. Experience with udenafil in men over 65 and in people with liver or kidney disease is more limited than with older drugs, which is one more reason the dose must be agreed with a qualified medical professional.

Side effects and restrictions

Facial flushing is the most frequent side effect of udenafil, followed by headache, nasal congestion, reddened eyes, indigestion and dizziness. Most of these are mild and short. As with any PDE5 inhibitor, an erection that will not subside after four hours and any sudden loss of vision or hearing require emergency treatment. Udenafil must never be combined with nitrates or poppers, and caution is needed with alpha-blockers and strong CYP3A4 inhibitors. Men with a recent heart attack or stroke, unstable heart disease or low blood pressure should not use it.
